330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 11%. Nearly black colour, small beige head. Aroma of peat smoke, whisky, oak, tar, molasses and roast malts. Sweet flavour with the same elements as the aroma, dominant peat smoke and tar, moderate bittering hops. Not really my cup of tea.

YG 310323. Dark brown color with a beige head. Aroma is alcohol, wood, smoked burnt roasted malt. Flavor is wood, peat, alcohol, smoked roasted malt, coffee, caramel. Very nice beer.

Bottle. A clear looking dark brown beer with a minimalistic dark beige head. The aroma has lots of alcohol, but in a good way. Peated, smoked, roasted and chocolatey aroma with dark dried fruit, caramel, cured meat notes and a resiny hints. Woody. It's full-bodied, warming and softly carbonated, with a good sweetness. Roasted malts, smoked, cured meat, dark dried fruit, dark chocolate and some coffee, with caramel and dark sugar, oak and peat. Lasting finish. An intense one indeed, but very pleasant. Bock meets barley wine meets barrels. 230331

Pours dark brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, dusty, caramel, oak, dried fruits and smoke. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long roasted, dusty, caramel, oak and smokey finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Delt med EgilB. Svart. Lavt skum med litt farge. Forsvinner raskt. Utmerket aroma av røkt torv. Silkemyk munnfølelse. Smaken røkt torv, lakris, tjære & sjokolade. Balansert. Toppøl - men bikket litt for mye over til røykwhisky.

330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Langnes. Slowly diminishing fawn-coloured head leaving spotty lacing on the glass, just a deep ruby glint to a near-black body. Attractive aromas of dark malts, nicely smoked. Peaty taste, smooth dark malts with moments of chocolate, prunes, and wood. Long-lived ending, smoothly smoked, sustained by warm sweetness. Full bodied. Enjoying one hour sipper on a Sunday afternoon. (Tromsø 06.02.2022).
