The season of stouts is upon us. And our brewers wanted to add a delicious and fruity twist to the everlasting style. A rich tapestry of dark malts, a mild hop bitterness, and a full body complement the tart and bold addition of black cherries.

473ml can. Pours a clear dark brown, almost black with red hue and a medium, creamy, long lasting, tan head that laces nicely. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate and faint cherry. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, cherry and a hint of smoke in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Ok, but cherry is too subtle.

Black, tan head. Roast nose, fruity notes. Palate of light roast/coffee, vague cherry. Light roasted bitterness in finish . Nice !

650 ml bottle. Pours a dark brown with full head. Aromas of cherry cola and roasted malts. Flavors of acidic nuts and roasted malts; not really getting the fruit.
