Guru Gish is a smooth, rich milk stout brewed with caramel, vanilla, peanut flavoring, and a whole lot of love. This beer tastes like a rich, decadent candy bar, perfect for a cold night by a warm re with family and friends.

Bottle from Craft Brewed. Pours a deep brown with a small bit of foam that dissipates quickly. Big, dry peanut butter nose that goes on, cocoa powder and bitter chocolate. Palate is dry and bitter. Some biscuit notes. Tons of peanut butter. Reminds me of the TailGate peanut butter beer. --- Beer merged from original tick of Guru Gish on 06 Nov 2017 at 21:18 - Score: 6. Original review text: I don’t get the hype on this at all. Dry peanut butter notes, cocoa powder and bitter chocolate. Ehhhh, recipe change maybe?

Sampled at VCBF 2017. Thnx for sharing Eugene and Tim ! Pours black, good white head. Smell is full, sweet, cocoa, vanilla, coffee, mild hazelnut. Taste is likewise. all of the imaginable features of a truly great, relatively low ABV stout. Truly impressive !

Dessert beer, like a Reese’s Cup with a layer of caramel between the peanut butter and chocolate. Pours ugly, reaching a suitable dark brown but offering little head and no lace. Aroma’s spot on: chocolate, vanilla and peanut butter. Taste is very, very sweet, milk chocolate and peanut butter with a vanilla-caramel backbone, roasted mocha notes playing around underneath but overshadowed by the candy bar leanings. Finishes sweet and slack, the texture a bit too weak for such a big sugary beer. Nice but a full pint seems a bit much to take.

Bottle. Pours black with a tan head that is barely there at all before it slips to a scum of foam. The aroma is like sniffing the open end of the wrapper of a Reese’s Cup. Tastes like chocolate and peanut butter.
