Jakobsland and Browar Widawa joined forces in this unique collaboration where four friends from four different countries; USA, South Africa, Poland and Spain, came together to make what is their biggest beer to date. The color is deeply black with a creamy tan foam. In the aroma you’ll notice molasses with some raisins and slight tobacco notes. This beer is big, bold & smooth, with malty flavors reminiscent of coffee, dark fruit & raisins and a gentle bittersweet finish. Our friends Browar Widawa were the winners of the best smoked Baltic Porter in the world

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max's place. Thanks Max & Stas. Black. Licorice, roast, dark fruits, caramel, a bit of tobacco, alcohol, hops, sweet, slightly "green", bitter finish. Nice but a bit harsh.

At a tasting, thanks, smallish head, clear dark brown color, with just a reedish hue, aroma of choclate, soy, prune and a hint of dark bread in the back, choclate flavor with herbs and grass and some dark bread behin, light sweetness and bitterness. A bit difficult but really nice and interesting.

Bottle. Color: Black, dense light brown head. Taste: Medium sweet dark roasted malt with decent amount of bitterness. Notes of coffee and molasses. Hints of tobacco and caramel. Bittery roasted finish. Very smooth, bit creamy. The alcohol is well hidden. Nicely balanced.

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Opaque pitch black color, medium sized brown head. Aroma is malts, dark malts, raisins, dark malt bitter, bitter, roasted malts. Flavor is malts, roasted malts, malt bitter, dark pure chocolate, bitter. Medium body and average carbonation. Solid.

Bottle @ benzai. Black with a small offwhite head. Smells herbs, spices. Tastes sweet, roasty, herbs, spices, boozy. Medium body, soft carbo. Don't like it.

bottle from @Taboada, thanks. pours dark brown/black with a light khaki head. Aroma sweet, lactose, alcohol, roasted and toasted malts, chocolate Taste of alcohol, vanilla, roasted and toasted malts, chocolate, some red fruits, licorice, firm roasted and alcoholic finish, average body, soft carbo, ok i guess.. --- Beer merged from original tick of Origen 2017 on 15 May 2018 at 15:36 - Score: 7

Pours black, small grey head.Smell is roasty, mild red fruits, rather round, not overly intense; Taste is full, intense, roasty, very round, bit coffee, mild sweet undertone. liquorice, bit bitter. thick to very thick body. Medium to medium low carbo. nice. Alcohol is very hidden.

33 cl bottle. Dark brown color, light coffee foam. Aroma: prunes, port wine, other dried fruits, caramel, black bread with blue raisins, light smoke. Taste: strong, but balanced, wine, caramel, prunes, raisins, a little tobacco, bitter finish, sweetness, warming, excellent winter beer.

Bottle 330ml. @ home. [ As Jakobsland Brewers / Widawa Origen Tank #4 - 2017 ].ABV: 11.5%. Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, dark malt, sweet malt, dark fruit. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, chocolate, roasted, dark malt, sweet malt. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20171112] 9-4-8-4-16
