Malty deep beginning. Red fruit over a white mild body. Wood is there, hints of sourness. Easy to drink, fruity woody with a nice complex wood finish.

Opaque, black color and tan head. Sweetish nose, artifical vanilla, molasse, overripe fruityness. Taste starts malty, faint roasty. Woody, lots of whisky flavors (empty cask?), astringend, vanilla, faint sour.

Trockener, wenig säuerlicher Beginn. Deutliche Röstnoten, kernig, dunkel holzig, etwas Bitterschokolade. Würzig malzig, langer Abgang, ansteigend röstig. 8/10/9/10/11/10

33cl bottle. A very dark brown beer with a beige lacing. Aroma of wood, strong dark malt, coffee. Taste of intense wood, oak, whiskey, smoked dark malt, coffee.

Bottle from Biersalon Kaufbeuren. Color: Alost black, mocha head. Aroma: Bourbon (Whikey, vanilla), roasted malt notes, caramel fudge, boozy hints. Taste: Roasted malt, coffee / mocha, subtle Bourbon,. Some licorice. Boozy notes. Moderate sweet, light bitterness. Some caramel fudge. Slightly sourish and light hints of Brett funk. Oak wood notes. Medium body, below average carbonation. Bit thin and I wonder whether the sour-ish and wild yeast hints are ment to be. Overall ok, uncommon German beer.
