“Hojnost” [ho:ynost] means abundance or to be plentiful in Czech and represents an annual harvest beer. This batch was conditioned in a freshly emptied white wine barrel for 10 months. A collaboration with the aforementioned Jan of Pivovar Lajka with whom we share the mutual love for the classic beers. It was brewed with local, fresh harvest ingredients and a very generous amount of organic whole leaf Saaz hops. This hop lot was exceptional despite the difficult year for hops in 2020 in Czech Republic and is elegantly embroidered into the backbone of rustic grains and malt. The beer was split in half and each brewer took it in a different direction. A year later there are 2 distinctly different beers, but sharing the same roots and values.

Bottle 0.75l, Lajka's version. One and half year aged. Hazy, deep gold. AROMA- gooseberry, apricot, gooseberry compote, citrusy, perfumy. FLAVOR- slightly sweet, lightly sour, lightly bitter, apricot, apple, gooseberry, lemon, hay, malty, floral hops, peach, dark grapes, pineapple. Medium bodied. Great.

Bottle from the source. Slightly hazy golden with white head. Fruity, loads of minerality, wood, green grapes, stone fruit. Super crushable.

Bottle, 750 ml at my bday Grande Tasting. Hazy orange with medium white head. Funk, fruity, peach, vinous. Wood. Moderate tartness. Medium bodied.

750ml bottle. Pretty nice, funky, farmyardy and slightly grassy hoppy, hints of apples and berries

0.75 l bottle thanks to Marko who brought it from Prague. Shared with Ogi and him. Pale golden, small head. Funky, fruity, apricot, white grapes, white wine, oxidation, ripe tree fruit. A touch of tart apple, phenolic note. Lemony acidity. Elderflower, white grapes, slightly funky, cardboard, soft cheese. Vinous. Light body, moderate carbonation, light tart finish.

Bottle from Base Camp. Clear golden body, white head. Lovely big citric (lemon and grapefruit) and woody aroma, barrel, oakey, white wine, fresh, perfumey. White grapes, creamy taste, woody, tartness, fresh as fuck, wood, soapy, light tartness. Good enough, a bit wild. Nice!
