Milder malzig-herber Antrunk mit unterstützender Getreidigkeit, kernig. Sehr leicht süß, das Bier bleibt auch im Mittelteil unerwartet mild, die Malzigkeit kann sich nur wenig erweitern und stäßt da an eine Grenze, wo die nun leicht säuerliche Herbe beginnt. Im hinteren Teil milder werdend, wenig aber frisch herb, kaum hopfig. Dürftiges Oktoberfestbier. 7/7/8/8/8/8

Bottle at family holiday gathering. Pours copper coloration and taste of malt light hops, brown sugar, and caramel. Not bad oktoberfest and considering Sam Seasonals were my gateway to craft beer I’ve nothing but respect.

12 oz. bottle. Poured a dark orange, amber color with an inch or two of khaki colored head. The taste is smooth, mouthfeel is creamy, and the finish contains just a hint of hops which are nicely offset by the honey and spice flavored malts. A tad thin and under carbonated, but very drinkable. A great beer to bring in the fall. A good brew for the style.

12oz bottle. Filtered amber-orange color. Respectable, creamy, off-white head. Sweet, malty aroma, a touch of fruity pungence..true to style. Medium-bodied, creamy, watery. Lacks much depth. The hop balance is a little too restrained. Still drinkable stuff, but below par for the style.

12 oz bottle into Sam Adams lager glass. Bought the fall variety pack at Super I in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. Autumn draws nigh! My favorite season. This beer pours a bright amberish copper hue with a medium head that dissipates, leaving a blanket and collar of foam. Aroma is caramel malt, freshly baked bread, creamed corn, all of it a little muted. Taste is almost all sweet, not overbearingly so, with very little bitterness; finishes with a touch of sour. Carbonation is medium to high, body is medium. Overall, a pretty boring Marzen.
