On tap at the brewery. Pours black with small beige head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong bourbon, roast, cocoa, vanilla, very sweet, really enjoyed this one.

On tap @ the brewery. Black appearance with a thin brown head. The aroma is German Chocolate cake- tons of chocolate, caramel, coconut. Carbonation is a bit low. Somewhat high alcohol. Mostly coconut, dark chocolate, and pecans. This was quite nice.

Tap at the brewery - not a hugely distinct difference.between this and the base beer - slick texture - high sweetness of cream and dark chocolate - the slightlt abrasive roastiness of the base beer has been smoothed out by the barrel, though, which is nice - light whiskey and toasty oak on the tail end - the finish is pretty dang boozy, though - given that the base beer has strong alcohol presence by itself, I suppose it shouldn’t be a surprise - some brown sugar and prune - the same or perhaps slightly better than the base beer.
