On tap @ Avery Strong Ale Fest 2015. Hazy, dark reddish orange appearance with a cream colored head. Heavy oak, vanilla, some orange citrus, booze, tannins in the nose. A little thick mouth feel. Chewy, heavy wood, light apple, leather, some caramel in the mouth. Medium body. Ok.

Sample at Denver Rare Beer Tasting VI on 10/03/2014. Brownish-amber color with a medium thin light beige head that recedes steadily. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of oak, roast malt and fruit. Medium body with an oaky bourbon character and notes of charred malt and fruit. Slight hops in the background. The finish is oaky with a bourbon and malt aftertaste, Pretty good overall.
