Tap. Pours clear hazel, large beige head, dissipates slowly with nice lacing. Aroma is nutty butterscotch hard candies. Flavor is medium sweet, little bitterness, a bit acidic, toffee, Ashes. Light body. Interesting dichotomy between aroma and taste.

On tap @ the brewery during San Francisco 7/7/14 beer tour. Pours a reddish brown appearance with a light brown head. Slight butterscotch, caramel, light chocolate nose. Carbonation is a little high. Pretty spritzy. Some butter. Nice caramel flavor. Again, this could use some minor tweaking and it would be a fine beer.

On tap at the source. Pours with a ruby hued body with a fading tan head. Aromas are of caramel, fruit, medium esters and discreetly hopped. Some bready notes, but the malt bill is only mildly interesting (Iet alone complex). Flavors are dry, nutty, and cola like. Watery (as to be expected a bit) with light chocolate notes. Medium bubbles and estery. Notes of freshly popped popcorn (sans butter). Light bubbles.

on tap-pours a tight light tan head and mahogany color. Aroma is cocoa-medium/dark malt. Taste is ashy/cocoa-medium/dark malt, secondary earthy hops. Soft carbonation. Fits in style, kind of thin finish.
