Bottle. Pours a cloudy copper gold with medium white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is floral, straw, earth. Slick body, citrus, straw, grass, lacto, good.

375mL bottle, pours a cloudy orange with medium white head. Aroma is fairly funky for only having lacto, along with prominent candied malts and fairly aggressive resinous hops. Flavour is quite lacto-heavy, with a prominent white wine barrel presence, oak, and dry resinous hops (no candied notes on the flavour really). Finishes nicely bitter, but not harsh given the 100 IBUs, with moderate sourness and quite low acidity. Really nicely balanced. For 4.1%, it sure packs a punch. Excellent.

Notes from a tasting last week. Aroma is rather fruity with quite a bit of pineapple and mango. Moderate tangerine and citrus. A light poppy phenolic note. Pours a cloudy, pale yellow gold with small thick white head that exhibits good retention while a thin film lingers. Moderate lacing. Flavor has a medium light acidity with a nice citrus kick. Medium light tropical fruit notes with pineapple and mango. Medium high bitterness. Light pale notes. Medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice sour IPA but there was a bit of an off phenolic note. The acidity really cuts through the bitterness and helps make the tropical fruit and citrus shine.

Bottle @ Avery Sour Fest 2014. Pours a cloudy yellow orange appearance with an off white head. Aroma is full of weeds / dandelions / ganja with some grapefruit and pineapple. There is some lactic in the flavor (though I couldn’t detect it in the nose) along with passion fruit, guava, and kiwi. Pretty fun beer and pretty much on the same level as the other variants.
