Keg at PP Solana Beach, 14/11/14 as Deofuls Callibration. Hazed golden blonde with a moderate light beige covering. Nose is rich fruit, yeast esters, light booze, sticky apricot, lemon curd. Taste comprises candied fruit peel, sweet licks, mandarin, apricot, vanilla. Medium + body, fine carbonation, warming alcohol in a sweetish close. Not bad for a big 13%’er, could say that it lacks depth for said ABV but it was drinkable and the sweetness didn’t become too much for me.

On tap @ Boulder Strong Ale Fest 2014. Titled "Deofuls Calibration" but I’m guessing this is a misspelling. Pretty clear yellow appearance with a white head. A lot of banana, pear, and apple in the nose along with some spicy yeast notes. Tons of booze in the flavor. Banana and a bit of toast as well. Kind of hard to drink though not horrendous.

On tap at Pizza Port Solana Beach, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, candied sugar, and soft doughy notes. Flavour brings out doughy malt, Belgian yeast, and a touch of candied sugar. Very elegant, with high complexity and a very soft mouthfeel. ABV is remarkably well-hidden. Excellent stuff.
