F: big, yellowish, good retention. C: coppery, light hazy. A: caramel malt, pine, spruce, tropical fruits, tangerine, orange. T: crispy malty, orange, tangerine, pineapple, mango, pine resin, grapefruit, bread, hint of herbal, touch of earthy, good long lasting bitterness, fresh juicy orange/grapefruit tones, one of the legends but now-days “just” very good among the huge amount of IPA´s, BB: 25/08/17, 355ml bottle from AH supermarket in Antwerpen.

Another entry in the "How have I never rated this??" Series. Many bottles, most recently 2015, maybe?
Amber-copper body is clear and topped by a beige head with moderate to moderately strong retention.
The nose is full of pine sap, spruce, wintergreen, marmalade and ruby red grapefruit. All hops, with some specialty malt backing it adding breadiness and light iced tea. No thanks on the specialty malts.....just interferes with the hops, as they almost always do, and adds strong bread and hardness to compound the acidity problems instead of adding soft honey to balance it, as the base malts do.
Just way to bitter in the mouth, like sucking on a pine branch. Peppery, sprucey, spicy, quite citric and with a hard, specialty malt-driven texture and moderate, engaging carbonation. Sticky sap on the end with iced tea and marmalade notes. Easy drinking my ass.

12 fl oz bottle. Aroma is pine, caramel and a little peach. Flavour is lots of pine, a little lemon, some peach and maybe a little grassiness. Everything then just gives way to caramel and then into a bitter finish. Pretty tasty.

Bottle 355ml (09.06.2017). A bit hazy amber colour with long-lasting, white-yellowish head and excellent lacing. Aroma is medium intensive but full of pine notes, really nice. Bitterness is medium with resin, pine, herbal character but short in time. In other side, beer is malty, medium body and balance between bitterness and sweetness is really good and the beer is very good drinkable especially if we take its "power". Very good IPA with nice body, a bit caramel character, more dry than sweet and medium, even to medium-heavy bitterness.
