On tap at The Source. Pours a clear orange with small white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is citrus, apple skin, oak, funk. Thin mouthfeel, tart citrus, oak, great fruit on this, light dryness, very nice.

At the brewery during GABF week, 2014. I’m the guy who didn’t like this very much, and it was a $12 beer. Thin palate, lacking carbonation in a beer that would have benefited from it with such a thin palate, like a beer that was opened and left out overnight. Dry yeast, and that is about it. It seems under-flavored. The one disappointing beer I tried at Crooked Stave.

Sample at The Source. Pours a slightly cloudy reddish-amber color with a medium thin off-white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of tart apples, caramel and yeast. Light to medium body with a fruity character and flavors of berries, apples, yeast and caramel. The finish is funky with a fruity aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

Tap @ Crooked Stave. Pours a hazy reddish appearance with a nicely carbonated, light brown head. Aroma is pretty unique with notes of bubblegum, raspberry, fruit punch, vanilla, a bit oaky aroma. Cran-raspberry, mildly tart, fruit punch, juicy, apple flavor. Refreshing and super delicious and very unique.

Turbid reddish brown - nose is lightly acetic, lightly funky, with an underlying overripe apple sweetness - flavor lightly lactic, moderately acetic, moderate oaky.tannins, a mellow funk - over ripe fruit sweetness late to balance - lingering oak in the finish - some white grape character - pretty nice.
