Tap @ Hogshead. Pours a fairly clear, burnt orange appearance with a small khaki head. Zesty, burnt caramel malty, fairly roasty, herbal aroma. Light clove, grainy burnt malty, rich caramel, very earthy flavor. A touch fruity.

Tap at Hogshead - dark amber - nose is nutty, lightly smoky and even a little earthy/leafy/leathery - flavor is fairly dry, moderately bitter - some dry roastes nuttiness and a fair amount of smoke - finish has some light brown sugar, followed by a dry, whiskey-ish note similar to the one found in the esb - moderate, burton-ish mineral bite on the end - very tasty.
