Bought at Liquor Shed in Casper. Canned October 24th 2024.
Pours a clear dark amber, small head of foam that shrinks quickly. No lacing.
Smell is malty with caramel, light nutty notes, some grain, kind of sweet.
Taste is very malty, not overly sweet, some nuttiness, grain on the back end.
Very good mouthfeel, quite the nice Doppelbock.

On tap at Beasts & Brews. Pours a clear, brown color, with a medium, frothy, beige head. The aroma is brown bread, walnuts, caraway, and a little band-aid. Sweet and yeasty, and a bit hot. Medium to heavy body, with a creamy, thick mouthfeel. This is a flawed, but fun bock.

Tap @ Prost in a cool mug. Pours a deep orange/brown, clear appearance with a frothy brown head. Caramel, rich toffee, lightly buttery, fairly sweet aroma. Weird fruity, brown sugar, candy sugar, caramel, somewhat buttery, slightly juicy, a bit metallic, strange flavor. Off in many ways and a serious let down. I couldn’t finish my $7.25 glass (or even half of it).

Edit (when this beer warms up, it gets seriously alcoholic and a light.hint of DMS comes through - fuck me) Dimpled mug at the brewery - clear dark amber -frothy off-white head -nose is fairly authentic - moderate melanoidin qualities, toffee, a bit of roasted nuts, very light hop note - fairly creamy texture -no apparent alcohol until a slightly warm finish - caramelized sugars, raisin, a light tartness, slight pumpernickel and rye bread in the finish -no noticeable flaws, which some of their more recent beers have exhibited -I like it.
