12 ounce bottle courtesy of pepsican. Thanks! Pours a clear dark amber color with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of mild roasted malts and raisins. Some dustiness. Dunkel-ish. The taste is toasted malts, caramel, raisin, chocolate. Medium bodied. Decent.

Bottle @ home, courtesy of pepsiedcan. RESPECT MALT LIKKA, MY BRO. Pours a dark orangish brown appearance with a light brown head that disappears pretty quickly. Toasty caramel, quite herbal/earthy, a touch spicy, cherry aroma. Dark caramel, chewy grainy, dry herbal, a bit fruity flavor that is showing some signs of oxidation.

Draft at Millstream. $3.25 for 12 oz. Plastic cup is okay, since it lets me sit at their little biergarten in front of the brewery on a warm March day. Brown with a little cherry juice type red, and a nice layer of foam. My allergic nose might not be getting all of the smell, but at least it’s nice and malty, a hearty malt sweetness with no obvious hops in the way.Notes of banana muffin, molasses, spice cake from the wheat malt. Chewy texture with slight graininess. Clove note at the finish.
