I located a tall boy can at a Total Wine in Albuquerque last week. Nice brewery, a recommended visit at their Railway location in Santa Fe. A Great Heights snifter is ready to catch the pour for this beer. A clear pale yellow in color with a nice and proper head of absolutely white foam. I smell grain, hops and a touch of citrus. The taste is actually quite decent in the style, more depth than expected. Lemons, hay, malt, a good bit of hops and bread. There is a small bitterness and an even smaller hint of sweetness. I will definitely purchase again next time in northern New Mexico.

Keg at the Railyard location, 1/23/22. Clear gold large creamy white head, good retention. Aroma of pale malt, lemon. Taste is pale malt, lemony hops. Crisp, lingering bitterness.

Sampled from the tap at the Railyard location. Pours a clear pale yellow with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has notes of light grains and light bread with a hint of grass underlying. Flavor is similar with light sweet grains and just hints of bread and grass.

Tap @ Second Street Santa Fe Railyard. Pours a light golden appearance with a small white head. Corn, straw, light veggie aroma. Moderate veggie, bitter herbal, grassy flavor. Pass.

Pale straw and hazy. Vague continental hop nose. Similar palate. Light fruit and some bubblegum. Hmmm...lots of QC issues on their German-style stuff lately.

A fairly well-done kolsch - very crisp and clean, with herbal, grassy noble hops, light sweetness, and a finish of light grain and lemon zest - a good lawnmower beer, with just enough body and character to keep things interesting.
