On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy gold with medium white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is pine and earthy malt. Medium body, toasted malt, pine, light bitterness, good.

Re-rate - originally a 2.4 - they have improves on this considerably since the last batch I had - the recipe is obviously the same, but the huskiness and diacetyl are now completely eliminated - what is left behind is a medium.sweet, lightly citric, highly woody ipa - there is also firm carbonation now - is it great, no, but it shows that these guys are working out the kinks and know how to make a solid brew - Tap at OMF - pour looks still - lightly hazy dark orange - smells and tastes extraordinarily husky - overall smells and tastes like an amped up version of their pale ale - mouthfeel is flat and flabby - taste, as noted, is quite husky, but there is a lot of earthy, woody and moderately citric hops that cover this up just before the finish - some moderate diacetyl in the finish - lingering woody hops - meh - there are some serious flaws, but there is slight potential here.

Tap @ Old Mutual Friend. Pours a hazy dark orange appearance with an off white head. Buttery, light piney, caramel corn aroma. Tangy, a touch bitter, herbal hoppy, bland buttery flavor.
