Jack Hammer has been single handedly ripping it up for quite some time. Now this IPA, has spawned four hammer head off-springs. Rye Hammer is the fourth of our super-charged hyped up hybrids.
A grapefruit harvest of citrus melts away to sticky roasted caramel and rye warmth, all resting on a malted biscuit backbone. Then ‘The Hammerhead’s trademark bitter finish reasserts its authority.

330ml can by the courtesy of Madmitch76. Shared with Cunningham. Cloudy golden body. Covering white head. Spotty lacing. Aroma of pine and citrus, attractive. Taste of lemony hops, peaches, bread and pine needles. Well hopped bitter tail. Fine bodied. Soft in the mouth. Enjoying nightcap (Hotel room, Chelmsford 16.02.2017).

330ml can. Pours a light hazy golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma is hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, caramel, pine. Taste matches the aroma, not much rye to speak of it’s pretty hoppy, bitter finish. Nice smooth mouthfeel, oily texture.

330ml can @ Chez Sophie. Pours hazy gold, good white head. Aroma of piney exotics. Taste is fuzzy juice, grapefruit, mango with a jagged bitterness, although seemingly restrained compared to standard Jack Hammer. Perhaps fruitier than expected with a low spicy rye contribution.

Can sourced from Toft Vin, Copenhagen (shared with the Mrs) - golden pour with white head. Fruity and malty, with some citrus fruity notes, sweet caramel biscuity malt base, some toffee, some herbal piney hoppy bite into the bitter close.

Gott.

Tap at Beer Hunters, Pori. Slightly hazy orange color, small white head. Aroma has citrus and grapefruit. Medium-bodied. Citrus, mellow fruityness, rye? Maybe. Somewhat similar to Jackhammer, also Brewdog house flavors.

(Keg at BrewDog Helsinki, 20170207) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, grass and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, citricness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste had fruitiness, grass, sweet rye bread and bitterness. A brew in which the rye was too much in the background.

Keg @ Brewdog Manchester, Manchester. Amber with a small head. Mainly tropical fruit hopped but the rye influence is more than apparent with a strength also evident too.
