Tap at Haymarket. Opaque black with a steady beige head. Big American Porter. Oily sweet specialty malt thing going on. They kind of nail it with the self described mandarin orange covered in chocolate. A pretty respectable porter, some odd, chalky edges.

GABF 2013. Pours a black appearance with a thin brown head. Really piney, spicy hoppy, dark chocolate, grapefruity aroma. A touch burnt chocolate malty flavor that is fairly roasty with a hint of smoke and pine.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours near black with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a lot of roasted malts, with dark grains, chocolate and a hint of dryness. Flavor is heavy with roasted malts and has a bit of chocolate with a dry finish.
