Our take on a West Coast IPA turns the volume up on juicy flavour with fruit-forward hop varieties. A vivacious apricot aroma illuminates layers of jammy tangerine marmalade and ripe peaches. Notes of fragrant wood and dank hops deliver toned-down bitterness for a well-rounded, ever-so-piney finish.

Murky brownish copper body and modest foam. Okay maltiness and pine on the nose. Smooth lagery honey taste, though a little weak. Mdeiocre.

Poured from the tap. Clear-ish gold with small white head. Light pine hops, mild caramel malt, a bit boring.

473ml can. Pours a slightly hazy orange-gold with a medium, foamy, short lived, off-white head that leaves curtains of lace. Mild aroma of caramel malt, apricot, peach and faint piney hops. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, orange, apricot, peach, tangerine and piney hops in a dry, bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Not bad, but too timid for a Westie.

Can at Black Christmas March 2022
Hazy dark blond colour. Pretty mild for the style, balanced but not even bitter enough. Very modest.
