Cloudy dark brown beer, good pale tan head. Smooth and slightly soft palate with mild fine carbonation. Intense malt with a lot of lactose. Bourbon and sweet coconut. Aniseed alcohol. Semi dry finish. Nothing subtle about this big olβ BA Barleywine. Good though!

Bottle @ home. Cloudy, dark brown appearance with a small brown head. Super rich caramel, thick dark sugary, woody, toffee, grape, dark fruity aroma. Very thick, sweet, thick caramel malty, sticky, dark fruity, light vanilla, slight woody, toffee, port flavor with a warming, somewhat, white vinous, boozy finish.

Courtesy of beer rating maven hopdog, thanks Steve! Pours clear amber with thin tan head. The aroma is yummy with brown sugar, dates, prunes and some mild caramel notes followed by booze. The taste is similar with brown sugar coated prunes, raisins and cherries along with some rich malt sweetened pine hops off in the background. Yummy smooth stuff where all the age on it has done nothing adverse to the experience.

Barrel aged bottle thanks to thirdeye11. Pours with a small off-white head and a hazy brown body. Aroma of honey, oak, dark fruits, maple, light spice and florals, vanilla. Taste is bitter, maple and vanilla. Big, thick and syrupy. Lively-ish bubbles.
