Tap @ Vine Street Pub, Denver. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of malts, chocolate, notes of coffee, cherry. Taste is roasted malt, rich milk chocolate, sweet cherry, cherry stones, light note of marzipan. Medium body, very smooth mouthfeel ( Nitro pour ) soft carbonation. 240212

Tap @ Vine Street Pub. Black appearance with a light brown head. Mild cherry/fruity, rich chocolate, light vanilla aroma. Decent carbonation and pretty good lacing. Somewhat spicy (which was interesting), mild cherry, milk chocolate flavor. At first, this one just tasted like another gimmick stout from Mountain Sun, but I polished off the pint off in ten minutes and it seemingly got better. Maybe it had to do with the beer warming up (Note to Vine Street: DO NOT serve your stouts ice cold!)

Nitro and Vine Street - my wife got excited about this one, but it was rather watery and boring - some muted roasted malt and mild chocolate, along with faint cherry syrup flavors - nothing really comes together, and the fact that some many of the flavors are indistinct does not help at all.
