On tap at the brewery at the 23rd Anniversary Party. Clear, dark brown, with a small, creamy, beige head. Brown sugar, black cherries, lemon zest, black pepper, and molasses. Sweet and very tart. Medium body, smooth, lightly acidic. This is a very smooth and easy sour. Seems to have aged well.

Tap @ Avery. Another interesting one from Avery. Dark maroon appearance with a tan head. Somewhat funky, oaky, dark fruity (plum, blackberry, raisin), caramel, toffee aroma with notes of fig and tobacco. The flavor was pretty funky, red vinous, oaky, and moderately sour with a rich caramel/toffee maltiness and a strong dark fruity element- again plums, blackberries, boysenberries, and grapes. This one reminded me quite a bit of Eremita I with the dark fruity elements. Compared to the other two, Eremita II was far and away my favorite followed by Eremita I and then this one.
