Bottle. Dark brown with a medium tan head. Not the strongest aroma or taste but still a descent beer. Some smoke, licorice, roasted malt and some light coffee. Medium body, easy to drink.

On tap at flying saucers decade of draught. Pours a dark ruby brown with a medium creamy beige head that leaves spotty lacing. The aroma is a sweet roasted malt and cherry. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet roast with chocolate and coffee with a nice dry finish. Easy to drink, a very good imperial porter from SKA.

Bottle from Archer Liquors. Pours quite black with a slim tan head. Nice clean chocolate aroma. Hey, my nose may be an uncommon nose. Near full bodied with creamy carbonation. Flavor is smooth toasted malt with treacle, coffee and chocolate notes. I’d say the finish is bitter and chocolate. Coffee ever present. It’s well balanced, and slightly dryish. Damn good ale.

Bottled at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Dark mahogany colour, creamy head. Appley licorice nose. Sweet, clean and empty. Spritzyness resolves the hard malt into bubbles that disappear into vacuum. Caramel with salt and resin, but all diluted. Green apples comes to dominate the finish.

It pours a dark color, almost black, with too much head (too much carbonation). The aroma is meaty, with some roasted malt (mild) and fresh wood; light yeast too. Medium bodied; it has some chocolate and roasted malt flavor, less bitter than most American beers. Quite boring overall.
