Tap @ brewery. Deep brown appearance with a light brown head. Anise, black licorice, black jelly bean aroma. Black licorice, chocolate, slightly roasty flavor.

12oz bottle. Opaque brown black with a gushing, thick, steady beige head. There is an odd pungency in the aroma, choco bitterness. Thick, sweet, and rich. I don’t know if it is really a Baltic Porter or not, but it certainly has some sweet chocolaty depth. Relatively mellow carbonation, a touch watery underneath the rich cocoa tones. Some soapy hop balance. Another solid offering from Twisted Pine. Good, but not world class.
