This American Amber Ale is a medium bodied beer with good hop character. The aroma is moderately hoppy, moderately malty, and lightly yeasty. The beer’s texture starts off crisp and effervescent, and becomes a little thicker – and perhaps even chewier – toward the finish. Goes great with a barbecued burger, which brings out some of the beer’s woodsy and earthy notes.

Pours a clear dark amber color with a medium foamy white head that diminishes slowly. Sticky rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, hops and fruit. Light-bodied with flavors of roast malt, earthy hops and fruit. The finish is sweet with a caramel malt aftertaste. Average overall.

Tap @ brewery. Clear, light burnt orange appearance. Really light piney hoppy, light caramel malty aroma. Floral, soapy, light piney hoppy, light malty flavor. Very bland.

Bottle from ericandersnavy. Pours copper with a multifinger off-white head. Smells like roast caramel and citrus. Near medium body with foamy carbonation. Flavor is rather citrus/fruity over medium roast caramel. Picks up surprising bitter in the finish. Very tasty for an amber.

Draft at the brewpub. A hazy amber beer with a thick orangey head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel as well as lighter notes of spices. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel as well as lighter notes of hops, lending it notes of both grass and grapefruit, leading to a dry bitter finish.

tap at the brewpub - Pours brown with a thin white head. It has the expected caramel malt aroma with a hint of hops. The flavor is more hopped than usual for the style. The body is light to medium and overall it’s an easily quaffed but fairly average brew.
