Tap @ brewery. $8 for a 10 oz? I could get a Kuhnhenn Bourbon Barrel Barleywine for that price and size. Oh well. Dark maroon appearance with a medium sized, tan head. Really an earthy, organic, light caramel/toffee, fairly interesting nose. Slightly light bodied, moderately boozy, caramel, dark fruity, highly earthy, organic flavor. Not a whole lot going on and the booze is noticeable. Probably will skip this on future visits.

Light hazy dark amber - moderately estery nose, with some sticky toffee, spicy hops, some fig and spices - smells pretty dang good, actually - creamy texture - flavor is a bit husky - fairly sweet toffee and caramel up front - medium and finish are moderately estery, semidry, with fairly spicy hops and peppery alcohol heat - somewhat thin for the abv, but some good stuff happening.
