Old found notes. Mostly clear light orange body with a thin white head. Light malt aroma. The flavor is lightly fruity following the aroma. Light body. Hides the alcohol completely.

Clear gold beer. Little white head. Softish dry palate. Sweet dry malt, a little metallic and a little brandyish in it’s warmth. Some orange peeping through before a dry finish and a warm afterglow. Unsubtle and a bit clunky.

2009 vintage bomber from Peace Street Market in Raleigh. Pours a hazy amber with floating particles. The thin creamy slightly off-white head shows no signs of going anywhere. The aroma is spice, candi sugar, pears, citrus and a faintly hoppy finish. The taste is bread, candi sugar, bubblegum, butter rum, raisin, spice, toasted notes and slight oxidation. Medium-full bodied, high carbonation and a faint bit of warmth.

Bottle @ home. Not exactly sure how long I’ve had this but it’s surely been over a year. A touch hazy, burnt orange appearance with a white head. Dull citrusy, bready, slightly boozy aroma. Bready, slightly boozy, a touch spicy, a little bitter, lightly citrusy flavor. Not tasting all that great now.

Bomber pours deep dull gold - copper with large tan head. The aroma is full of sweet notes like apples, pears, honey and plum puree as well as some spices and a hint of booziness at the end. The taste is pretty soft and smooth with sweet notes of apple, honey, pears and plum juice. It picks up various winter like spices as well as cloves and a faint level of pepper covered peach slices to midway. It gets slightly boozy here and there yet remains soft and smooth into the finish.

On tap at Redhook brewpub. Pours out a cloudy gold/orange topped with a small white head. Aroma was of pit fruit, yeast, spice, and sweetness. Taste more of the pit fruit sweetness along with a good amount of alcohol showing through.

Bottle: Pale orange pour with a thin off-white head. Intense aroma is yeast, citrus, plum, vinous, and cloves. Taste is more spicey with the cloves, cinnamon, and sort of leafy. It’s dry and lets the alcohol presence be known. Just a little sugary sweetness and more yeast. Better as it warms, the maltiness comes out and it shows a little more sweetness overall than the initial dryness.

This beer was a very pleasant surprise and strikes me as being rather severely underrated on this site. Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright orange-amber color with a large orange-cream head. The aroma was strong candied fruit, sugar and yeastiness with just a touch of alcohol showing through. The flavor was strongly sugar with candied fruits - apple, pineapple and pear predominantly and a moderate yeasty undertone with faint hints of pepper. The finish was long, fruity and yeasty. The mouthfeel was thick and full. A touch of alcohol shows through on the finish. Excellent.

Bottle. Amber beer with an off-white head. Peach and fruity ester aroma with light malt. Malt and honey flavor with fruity esters, light spice and light yeast. Medium bodied. Malt and fruitiness lingers with light spice/light yeast.
