On tap. Pours with a clear bronze body with a small, off-white head. Aromas are bready, plum, fruity, caramel, medium maltiness, light esters. Flavors are a bit musty and very bitter for the style. Grassy, some malt, peppery phenol. Medium bubbles.

Tap @ Vine Street during Belgian month. Reddish brown appearance with a foamy, light brown head that dissipates pretty quickly. Dark candy sugar, caramel, dark chocolate, pepper, light banana/clove, sweet caramelized malty aroma. Pretty sweet yet not exactly cloying, dark candy sugar, caramel/toffee malty, slightly floral hoppy flavor. A touch syrupy. Not bad but nothing too excellent either.

Tap at Vine Street - hazy plum color - nose of mild oxidation and dusty, earthy character, light esters, peppery phenols - fairly overpowering peppery/spicy phenols in the flavor make it a bit abrasive - fairly dry, with some general earthy funk to it that adds a nice depth - dry, unsweetened stone fruits - dusty basement, oxidation - very spicy finish - some nice attributes, but those phenols need to be dialed back.
