An unfiltered double India pale ale dry-hopped with citra, columbus cryo, strata and talus

We’ve Changed. Or maybe Everything Changed? I think we can agree that we’ve all changed a little. Change can certainly be beautiful and we think this new hazi boi is a perfect example of a glorious change in our brewing style. We’ve spent all of 2021 learning from some of the best who do it, and we think it shows.

Mashed with a mindful blend of local pilsner malt, flaked and malted oats, flaked wheat and finished off with a touch of raw heritage red turkey wheat along with appalachian water from our wells. Fermented with a new house favorite low flocc yeast strain for a turbid appearance and luxurious mouthfeel. Hopped intensely with a tropical and citrus bursting blend of citra, columbus cryo, strata and talus, this hazi double IPA is quite possibly our favorite of the “changed” series.

Okay fine, you’re right. We have definitely changed. But one sip of this double hopped juice and we are sure you’ll be glad we did.

Big, ugly, murky, and undercarbonated, but still decent. Big juicy notes of melon and mango and creamsicle, with a pine backbone and lingering vanilla sweetness. A better example of a style I grow more tired of everyday.

Draft at Fonta Flora Morganton. Pours a hazy, glowing gold with a finger of white fluffy foam that lingers. Crushed pineapple, grapefruit and pith on the nose. Palate is similar with nice carbonation and a slight pillowy mouthfeel. Drying, balanced finish with pith and light notes of citrus.
