A light and refreshing pale golden beer with hints of banana and pineapple. Crafted with a fine blend of the best English malted barley and mainly fresh local Fuggles hops from Puttenham but with some aroma hops at the end of the boil. A good balanced beer with a long dry finish and a sense of sweetness.

Bottle from ASDA. Honey coloured pour with a white head. Lemon, coriander and ginger aroma. Nutty-citrus flavour with a hint of vanilla. Bit of a fruit cocktail. Not bad.

50cl bottle from Morrisons. Amber with a loose, fast fading, white head, and quite heavy carbonation; malty aroma; stewed malt taste with some pineapple sweetness and light hops giving a gentle bitterness to the otherwise bland finish. Not a patch on the cask version.

500ml bottle BBD 30 Apr 2013: broached on 13 Apr 2013 and poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard. Orangey, pale amber body, clear and clean looking, the fast disappearing head was off-white before it left the building. Fairly sweet nose and taste: malty feel to it, more than the HOP name suggests anyway. Caramel and toffee notes in both the aroma and mouth. The hops come alive towards the end of each sip giving the beer a crisp bitter finish, a nice beer. The alcohol helps to give the bite at the end also.

Bottle at home - 25/12/12. Clear golden with a thin white head that dissipates to the edge of the glass. Nose is pale malt, light floral hops, touch of caramel, hint of grapefruit. Taste follows, caramel malts, hops, floral tones. Medium bodied with soft carbonation and some hop bitterness in the dry finish. Ok - nothing too exciting mind!

50cl bottle shared by Dutchdrebus. Hazy yellow-golden color, medium sized quickly diminishing white head that leaves fair lacing. Smell malts, slightly butter, lightly some fruits. Taste malts, again slightly butter, lightly fruits and bitterness. No hops really...not very pronounced anyway. Medium carbonation, low to medium body.
