Barrel 78 is a semi-dry cider with a post ferment addi on of apple brandy that has been aged in oak barrels for over a year. This hard cider blend has vanilla notes with a nutty, woody and warming character.

Half liter corked bottle from their AVL taproom. Baby Duvel @home. Clear, frothy, oily gold. Strong smell of fake vanilla, margarine & pear. Not appetizing. Taste is bitter apples, fake vanilla, plastic & some unknown ugliness. The fake-ness is overpowering. Frothy, perfect abv. No notice on the label about added ingredients. Why?
