Rosemary Farm (2017)

Bottle from some now non-existent wine shop in Williamsburg, I feel like it was 2018. A move & lots of sleep later, here we are. Stemless wine glass @home. Gentle plop of the cork, like a slug off a plant pot. Clear, vibrant, classy, medium gold. Smells mulch-y & herbal, wild & somewhat medicinal, salty & maybe a little like soiled hay. Acidic apples push through as it opens up. Taste is bright, tart, very sharp. Mild funk. Licorice, fennel, old wood. The funk is sort of like a solid dirty French cider, leathery & just slightly offal, but this is obviously filtered & way easy to drink. Lingering light mentions of menthol & barnyard. Yeasty, round finish. Thin, intentionally still, pretty strong for the listed abv. Pretty good. Why did I wait so long?
