A rosé-style cider fermented on Petit Verdot and Merlot grape skins from King Family Vineyards, then aged French oak barrels. This cider/wine hybrid combines our favorite aspects of cidermaking and winemaking into a truly unique beverage. The grapes bring beautiful color, complex tannins, and a light fruitiness to the dry, crisp cider.

Bottle from Appalachian. Passed on it a few times because of price. Simply ran out of things to try. Still not desperate enough to fork over $40 for that blueberry spaceship bullshit. Stemless wine glass @home. Clear, pretty, dark garnet body with much lighter strawberry highlights. Creamy(?) berry jam nose. Earthy & very faintly wild. Sharp apples. Subtle wood. Taste is astringent grape skins with metallic undertones. Bittersharp apples, strong acidity, more core than definitive flavor. Grapes push through, focusing on fresh, juicy, under-ripe berry flavor. This is all about the grapes. Finish is tart & earthy/yeasty & minerally, with a noticeable booziness. Okay, mellow carbonation. Bitterness was almost Aspirin-y at times. Texture was inconsistent. Strong. I've had worse Beaujolais! This is rough but okay.
