On tap at the Gingerman. Pours with a black body and a thick brown head with good lace. Aromas are huge with coffee, leather, french vanilla, mocha, smoke and dark fruits. Flavors are of mocha, huge coffee, fresh berries, dark fruits, tar, smoke and a dusty/earthy cocoa. Super balanced and very well made. Medium bubbles with a nice lingering richness in the finish. Much richer than you would think with the ABV. A very tasty beer.

Cask at Flying Saucer’s Decade of Draught. Pours a very dark brown with a small frothy tan head that diminishes quickly to nothing. The aroma is a smoke and roast and alcohol. Thin mouthfeel with a strong roast and smoke with a nice bitter finish with the agave coming thru. Easy to drink, love to see SS experimenting.

On tap at Flying Saucer. Pours a very dark brown with a small creamy light tan head that leaves good sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a roasted malt and chocolate. Thin mouthfeel with a roasted malt and smoke with a nice light bitter finish. A very good porter from Southern Star.
