Bottle dated Dec 2, 2013.
She pours a somewhat clear red slightly brown colored body with a one finger white foamy head that lasts for a good two minutes before slowly dieing and leaving a decent looking foamy ring circling the top of the glass. There is a nice little spider web lacing that trickles around the glass.
The smell is sweet and nutty malty caramel-ness that comes across in a pleasant \"Wintery\" sort of way.
The taste is mainly sweet and gives off a decent nuttiness; in the aftertaste there’s a decent combination of sweet to nutty to leave a decent finish that ends up coming across somewhat dry.
On the palate, it sits about a light to medium on the body to end up coming across fairly sessionable. Carbonation is extremely smooth and adds a slight creaminess to it.
Overall, hey Redhook good job with this, I would have this again.

Bottle. Poured a slightly clear, but mostly dark brown color with a nice small off-white head. Aroma was caramel notes, some nut notes, sweet character along with a touch of bitter chocolates. Flavor was roasted malts, caramel character, nutty. Very mild, some light, bitter roasted notes. Found it more enjoyable than expected.

12oz bottle pours clear deep red-amber with thin tan head. The aroma has some roasted malts mixing with bits of caramel malts, chocolate malts, spicy hops and black licorice. The taste offers up notes of roasted malts, a pulse of sweet dark fruity esters and then rolling into spicy and earthy hops. Into the finish chocolate malts surface and then give way to a mild level of burnt malts off into the after taste.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark brown color with a medium sized foamy tan head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was dryish and malty with light molasses, chalk, cherry and nut. The flavor was tart and malty with notes of nut, cherry caramel and a touch of licorice. The finish was long, tangy, fruity and nutty with some lingering bread. Medium body. Solid.

Pour is a dark brown with a large tan head. Aroma is a decent roasted malt with some molasses in there. Flavor is again a decently roasted malt with a little nuttyness toward the end. Ok for a brown ale.
