Tap at the Sacramento venue. Pours clear reddish amber with a beige head. Pine aroma. Medium plus body. Flavor is resin/pine - very strong - and ambery roasty malt. Sort of red IPA. Tasty.

tap at Fort Wayne location - Pours amber with a one finger head. It smells of caramel malt and hops. The flavor is pretty aggressively hopped with sweet caramel malt balancing it. There's some minimal alcohol taste noticeable. I wouldn't call it great but this is a very solid brew.

Draft at BJ’s Bakersfield. Called an Imperial Red by BJ’s. Nose is light pine resin, a little toffee, and some black raisins. Clear rusty amber with a small beige head. Flavor is lightly bitter, malty, and a hint of sweetness.

Just called Imperial Red at the Chandler location a few months back. It pours with a nearly clear deep copper body with thin gold edges and supporting a thin off white head that leaves some spotty sheet lacing behind. The aroma is malty and a little nutty and also some pine like hoppiness. The taste has up front bitterness and is a mix of pine hop bitterness and roasted malt astringency with a dash of citrus hoppiness. Into the finish, in addition to the other notes, I pick up some floral hops. Decent enough.

Draft @ The Falls location. Pours clear copper color with light tan head. Aromas of toasted malts, fruits, pine and hints of citrus. Toasted malt and pine flavors with some citrus. Medium body with average carbonation. One of their better beers I’ve tried.

On tap at Willowbrook. Pours a cloudy amber with small off white head that lasts awhile. The aroma is floral hop and pine. Medium mouthfeel with light hop flavor and bready malt. A good American strong ale from BJs.
