Golden brown. Aroma is caramel, toffee, taste is similar. Ok doppelbock, with some light chewy, bready notes but nothing like the ones from the outskirts of Munich.

Bottle thanks to Fratto. Pours with a clear, deep bronze hued body with a small off-white head. Aromas are nutty, malty, herbal hops, light caramel and munich. Toasty. Flavors are malty, nutty, molasses with a slightly distracting spicy hop character. Clean yeast wise. Medium bubbles, medium bodied, not overly sweet.

On tap at Texas Beerfest. Pours a cloudy amber with a medium beige head. The aroma is cinnamon and spice. Thin mouthfeel with raisin malt and roast with lingering spice finish. A good doppelbock from Rahr.
