Cloudy brown beer. Light semi dry palate with moderate carbonation. Raspberry that is neither sweet nor tart providing a mellow start. A little mild sourness kicks in along with a balancing unsweet oak. Finshes mellow raspberry and warming alcohol. Best when a little chilled this one. Enjoyed it - not too bloody sour!

Had this at a tasting. Thanks Wally for being so generous! Poured into a Hill Farmstead Glass

A - Absolutely no head but a very solid and beautiful lacing as you swirl it around. Nice raspberry legs. The beer was a light leather appearance with red from the rasberries.

S - I’m getting rasberries and alcohol. It’s a hugely tart / sour scent even when you open the bottle. The scent literally burns your nostrils

T - WHOA. This is a sour and tart beer. LOADS of rasberries but the Apple Cider dominates in a big way. If you like apple cider, get this. If you don’t, well it’s intense!

M - On 1st swish it’s 50/50 bubbles and liquid. Light bodied and goes down easy.

O - There’s no doubt this beer was delicious but the vinegar was simply too much to handle.

750 from 2010 vintage. Pours like a snowglobe filled with cherry juice or something. Floaties everywhere, almost no head and just a little bit of carbonation coming to the surface. Aromas are a little funky, very sweet with fruit and very boozy. That pretty much matches the flavor profile to a T. It is the most cloying \"sour\" I have ever had... beating out Lindemans and Liefmans \"lambics\" by a considerable margin. The fruit is nice enough, I guess, but it gets blasted away by rocket fuel or out of control ABV (can’t quite decide which is in here.) I was hoping for something pretty interesting, but this tastes like something a Congressional super-committee put together.

A deep burgundy ale, cloudy, with a very thin receeding off white head. In aroma, loads of raspberry puree, light wooden notes, earthy, sugar beets, interesting. In mouth, the raspberry jam comes through over light acidity, dry, lighter bodied than expected, but overall pleasant. Shared with GRM, March 10 2011.

750 ml bottle. Ruby red, medium reddish brown head that quickly disappears. Aroma of intense raspberry jelly that has turned sour. Taste has a ton of fruit, progresses to a dry sourness with lemon and dirt. Nice.

Consists of a red tinged orange body with little to no head. Tart cherry aroma, I would score it higher if it hadn’t had such a strong alcohol nose and had just been the cherries. Slightly tart, acetic and tangy with good cherry presence. I’d love to have more of this.
