Bottle thanks to Tom. Pours a hazy copper with medium beige head that lasts. The aroma is toffee, candy sugar, brandy. Medium mouth, strong booze, caramel, sweet, very good.

On tap at the Holiday Ale Festival, listed as Oakshire Brandywine. Pours a dark copper color with a medium beige head. A sweet brandy nose, some toffee and dark candies. The flavor is more heat, a bit of sweet dry malts, rum cake, light oxidation. Marmalade. Quite good. Unusual.

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours very darkly ruddy with a light tan head. Aroma is cinnamon!?! Full bodied. A little heat. Flavor is brown sugar, winy grape, brandy, oak, and once again cinnamon. Or is that a combo of brown sugar and chocolate? Great stuff. Has sort of a brandy burn.

Sampled on tap at PIB, pours a very dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma of brandy barrels, liqueur, candied sugar and noticeable booze. Flavour of brandy barrels, dark fruits, toffee and English malts. Very full-bodied and well-designed. Sweet, but never cloying. Very rich and full-filling. A world-class BA barley wine here.
