Poured a golden with a white head. Aroma is grains. Taste is crisp, grainy, light citrus. Refreshing on hot day.

Kolsch is one of my preferreds in lower-impact beer styles. This 12 oz can of Allgood was in mixed sixer given to me as a birthday present by a friend of a family member. Nice surprise. Completely unfamiliar with the brewer or the beer, I’m ready to make the pour into my Great Heights snifter. Kolsches are happy appearing beers and this is no different, sunshine yellow with active carbonation and a small top of white bubbles. The scent is consistent with the style, light citrus, hay and an impression of sweetness. And the taste stays with The nose, lemon, sweet corn, straw and water. It’d be better on a hot summer day, still quite decent.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is grass and lemon zest. Medium body, honey, fruity malt, light finish, decent.
