Bottled. Pitch black colour with a mediumsized foamy beige head. Aroma is liquorice, coffee, alcohol, some ripe fruits and roasted notes. Flavour is coffee, mild vanilla, roasted malts and some mild alcohol and chocolaty notes. Rather balanced, and actually well bodied. Longlasting flavours making this a good sipper.

Bottled 650ml (from Austin)
Opaque colour, big brownish head. Aroma has very light coffee. Medium-bodied. Coffeish, some bitterness, light veggie notes (typical to beers with coffee added). Decent toasted porter.

On tap at Last Stand, pours a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is full of coffee and a little toasted malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with coffee and light toasted malt. Nothing exceptional, but it works well.

On tap at the brewery. Pours black with medium beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong roast coffee, dark chocolate, cracker. Thick mouth, chewy, roast, dark chocolate, lingering bitter dry finish, very good.

Draft at Craft Pride, Austin. Almost black color, full slow dying tan head. Aroma is a steady amount of coffee bean with light chocolate hints, mild toffee tone.

The flavor begins coffee upfront, chocolate notes and again toffee or caramel hints. Body is pretty good for a porter. The coffee is not over played, integrated rather well into the base. I love coffee brews and even on a warm Texas evening I really enjoy sipping this.
