Sample at the taproom during the "GABF Throw-down at Beryl's!" on 10/05/2017. Slightly hazy dark amber color with a thin off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Sparse strings of lace. Aroma of malt, fruit and a touch of hops. Light-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, fruit and mild hops. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

On tap at Beryl's, pours a hazy copper amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted nuts and a little bread. Flavour is subdued, with toasted nuts, bready notes and light toasted caramel. Quite robust for the style, with everything in good balance. Solid.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark amber with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is dark fruit and bready malt. Medium body, cocoa, raisin, rye, light finish, good.

Taster at the brewery - medium Amber color - nose of caramelized sugars, lightly nutty malt character - creamy texture - nice subtle complexity to the flavor - sweet up front, with some dark bread and caramel, some vanilla through the middle, light bitterness and moderate spiciness arrive late and linger through the finish - maybe the tiniest bit husky here and there, but solid.
