(330ml bottle from Systembolaget) Pours a slightly hazy dark brownish red with a small short-lived whitish cap. Aroma of tart cran-raspberry juice, lemony acidity, a bit of malt sweetness and a spicy earthy quality bordering on funk. On the palate, quite tart, rather sour and acidic with lots of raspberries complemented by lemon zest, lactic, some malts with bread and a bit of spicy character towards the finish. Raspberry flesh and seeds in the aftertaste. Light bodied with high, fairly effervescent carbonation. Not a bad berliner rye or whatever it is, the malts do give it a bit of heft, but it’s failrly straightforward as expected.

Nice deep red-ish color with a head that vanish to soon. Nice raspberry aroma. Medium body with a fine acidity. Ok carbonation. Nice lactic and raspberry flavour. Unusual nice raspberry profile in this one. Recommendable stuff!

330ml Bottle - Cloudy red with a pinky white head. Raspberries, jam, damp wood and some slightly metallic notes in the aroma. Fruity, tart and moderately sour taste with raspberries dominating proceedings but notes of strawberry jam can also be detected. Refreshing.

On tap @ Kick. Unclear dark brown body with a moderate sized off-white head. Quite strong aroma of sour raspberries with mild malt. Flavor is tart and sour raspberry, acidity, some malt and not so much more. Medium body and lots of sour raspberry aftertaste. Interesting and not really bad, but very one-dimensional. My bartender served me a piece of chocolate cake to go along with the beer, and that was a great match. This beer need something massive sweet to balance.

Draught @ BBB. Pours hazy red with a frothy pinkish offwhite head that leaves lots of sticky lacing and trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is fruity and tiny malty with dark bread, rye flour, raspberries, lemon juice, moist hay, black pepper corns, minerals and lemon zest. Taste is sour and fruity. Mouthfeel is dry, tart and light bodied. Finish is sour with sourdough bread, raspberries, lemon juice, yoghurt, moist soil, minerals and lemon zest. Nicely fruity with a suiting tartness. Enjoyable...

Bottled from de Molen Beershop as Red Raspberry Rye Berliner Weisse, dated 5/1/15 BB 5/1/16, large sample. Hazy reddish color, short frothy light brown head. Aroma of spicy rye, bit grainy, fruity raspberry, slight tartness, bit lactic acid, bit earthy. Starts quite fruity sour, dark fruit, almost bitter from the fruit. Then malty notes come back in with the rye. Interesting combination. Makes it more full bodied and the rye seems to fit the dark fruit, but it doesnt feel like it’s all balanced out yet, but more two different flavors next to each other. Bit mouthpuckering sourness.

330 ml bottle at Beer House Club, Firenze.
Deep red, clear body, with a small, creamy slightly pink head.
Aroma of sweet-sour raspberries, some barnyard, some salt, slight bubblegum.
Tastes of sour raspberries, barnyard, some salt.
Quite light, slick mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes sweet-sour, fruity, slightly funky.
Nice one. Very fresh and not too sweet, with a natural raspberry taste. One of the better beers of this style I’ve had.
