URSUS Black nu este o bere brună obișnuită. Povestea ei începe nu cu unul, așa cum au berile obișnuite, ci cu trei tipuri de malț toate 100% pure. Iar în povestea ei, fiecare malț are rolul lui: unul dă gustul, altul dă culoarea, pe când al treilea conferă aroma. Gustul blând, nu foarte amărui (23 unități de amăreala), și cele 6 procente de alcool îi dau personalitatea unică. Așa că URSUS Black cu trei tipuri de malț, e altfel decât orice altă bere brună.

31/12/2022. Can courtesy of Marek, as Ursus Black Grizzly same abv unsure if different beer so entered here. Pours clear dark chestnut brown with a foamy beige head. Aroma is malty, mild chocolate, lightly roasted, caramel, molasses, nut and dried fruits. Quite heavy sweetness with light bitterness. Moderate body, oily, average carbonation. Sweet, clammy, caramel malt finish. Not bad.

Can. Light sweet roast and licorice nose. Dark brown with a red shine, brown foam. Sugary molasses, classic sweet Schwarzbier. Medium, mellow light, lightly sticky. light almond, sweet licorice, spice, a tad too sweet in the finish.

Can from a Romanian shop in Woking. Burnt caramel aroma with a hint of roast. Dark cola brown. Bubbly off-white head. Initially light bitterness before caramel sweetness comes through. Light. Thin. Fizzy carbonation. Abrupt finish. Nice enough. Sweet but not overly so. Drinkable.

500mL can, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, earth and some cardboard. Flavour is along the same lines, with toasted malt, some roast, earthy notes, and light cardboard. Much better than any other Ursus products, but not a good schwarzbier.

Can. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter ok roasted flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate. Nice.

Got this one last summer at a local supermarket in Bucharest. Shared with lovely Anja. Ruby to brown, lasting small tan head. Roasty, dark malts, light caramel. Sweet, sugary with some roasty flavours. Medium body, moderate carbonation, lightly sweet finish. Not bad.

From Mioritza grocery shop, The Hague. Clear deep ruby brown colour, huge frothy tan head, fairly lasting, light lacing. Aroma roasted mals, cocoa, caramel, light molasses. Flavour medium sweet and light bitter, malty, light caramel, light spicy notes. Mild malty sweetbitter finish with light chocolate, light earthy notes. Quite nice schwartz.
