Bottle. A qutie fizzy one, dark amber in color, almost clear, and topped by a dense, beige head. Some brett and mint on the nose, a touch of caramel and a faint roasted notes. Quite bitter flavor, with a hint of roasted malts, some fruityness and a faint spice touch. It’s full bodied and quite effervescent. Nice bitterness in the else fruity finish. Maybe some warmth too. Overall, a rather unusual one, but far from bad. Quite tasteful actually, but I guess some food would be appropriate. 120622

33cl from Drankenservice Pelgrims, Aarschot. Light gusher, with the profile of an oud bruin. BB 23/02/2013.

Clear cola-coloured beer with a small olive rim. Nutty nose, dark malts, dark bread, sweetish. Sweet-bready taste, if a bit flat. Finish has walnut or walnutoil. Pretty well-carbonated, even fizzy. Decent, but IMO, it might have benefitted from a more outspoken flavourprofile.
