In honor of Halloween we’re sneaking one more red wine barrel-aged beer on tap, and boy howdy is it a doozy. "Ale in the Coffin" is a porter base, fermented with Champagne and Belgian yeasts, and aged in a Novelty Hill Cabernet Sauvignon Barrel for 3 months.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a very dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is cocoa, licorice, roast. Medium body, similar flavors to nose, boozy finish, good.
