Bright, light phenolic plastics and a slight floral accent. Bit crackery...honeyed malts, balanced phenols but still a bit sweet for something intended as a quaffer. Decent example of style, though not a style I particularly care for.

On tap at Optimism, pours a clear copper orange with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out pleasant notes of pepper, followed by crisp pear and Belgian yeast. Flavour is subtle and pleasant, with notes of pepper, Belgian yeast and light pear. Nothing particularly deep, but it's clean and balanced. Decent.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear orange gold with medium frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is honey, wheat, spice. Medium body, pepper, wheat, clove, dry finish, good.
